A list of the current public enquiries and appeals that we and the council are involved in can be found on the Latest Inquiries page, however please remember that any problems with existing routes, blockages etc.. are the responsibility of the council, and need to be reported to your local bridleways officer.  Please see other links for more details on this.

Dolemoor Lane

Our appeal against NSC’s RoW committee’s decision not to allow part of our claim to be a bridleway has gone to the department of the environment, but we have been told there is a backlog of appeals so it could take some time to be looked at.  As of the end of August we are still waiting to here back on this....

More Good news on our Bridleways!!

  • Goosey Drove, Hewish North Somerset Council’s rights of way committee has approved this as a bridleway and as there were no objections from the landowner and Avon Wildlife Trust this route is now available for riding.  This route runs from Puxton Lane (which is opposite the Tack Shop in Hewish) through to Dolemoor Lane.

  • Chapel Lane, Cleeve -Western Power has widened the says supporting the poles along the A370, and NSC has cleared the hedge back which ensures that it is no much safer for riders to get from the Dark Lane Bridleway to the Chapel Lane Bridleway.
